I chose to build my own version of a 5-bar slotted slider mechanism. Below is the model used:

This mechanism involves rotating the input link (the leftmost link in Figure 1) to move the slider vertically (the rightmost link in Figure 1), converting a rotational input to a linear output. I altered the lengths of the links slightly to make building easier.
