INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL
INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL POLICY
Any time a UT employee travels outside the 50 states on UT business, prior authorization through Texas Global is required. Registering your international travel with Global Risk & Safety, and requesting authorization for that travel, must be completed in addition to the travel procedures of the department (as covered in the Travel Guide).
GRS requires a minimum of five weeks to authorize international travel.
SDCT requires a minimum of two weeks to process travel requests at the departmental level.
It is therefore strongly recommended that travelers begin this process as early as sixty days prior to departure.
Global Risk & Safety
A step-by-step guide to securing authorization for international travel.
