Cisco AMP

Cisco AMP can only be used on university-owned systems at no cost.  Cisco AMP is available for Windows, macOS devices, and certain versions of RedHat/CentOS. The Information Security Office considers Cisco AMP one of the most effective malware protection tools on the market and has seen marked improvement from campus units that have deployed it.  Send an email to help@ece.utexas.edu with the UT asset tag number, serial number, and make/model of your device so IT staff can verify the device is owned by the Electrical and Computer Engineering department.

Personal Computers

Immunet Free Antivirus (highly recommended by the ISO for non-UT systems)

This product provides realtime antivirus protection that is light, fast, and can also be compatible with existing security products.

For personally owned Mac computers, the free online Sophos or Avast anti-virus software is recommended.
