  1. Submit a ticket at https://www.mccombs.utexas.edu/tech requesting access. Please tell us the university email address you wish to use as your logon for the program.
  2. Once we register your email address, you will receive an email message from info@itacademy.brightspace.com similar to the one below that invites you to the program.
  3. Click the link in the email to register for the program. This will take you to the main login page. Click the "Click here" button to register
  4. At the next page, since this is your first time accessing the program click the "Register" button. (In the future after registering you can use the "Log In" button)
  5. The next page will ask you to confirm your email address, set a password, and create your account.
  6. Once the registration is completed, you will then be allowed to access the program web pages. Click the link provided to access the program.
  7. In the future, anytime you need to access the program just go directly to https://itacademy.vmware.com to login with the email and password you registered with the program. McCombs IT staff do not have the ability to access or reset your password. If you forget your password, please use the "Forgot your password?"  link on the login page.
  8. IMPORTANT: You must request a license key to use this software. The itacademy.brightspace.com page has a dropdown called “Get VMWare Software & Licenses” at the top left. Select this and choose “Request Software License Keys (for individuals)”.

  9. To request a license key, press “Request” under “VMWare Fusion 13.x Pro”.

    You will receive another email from VMWare with the license key within 12 hours.

  10. To download VMWare Fusion, please visit this link https://utexas.box.com/s/figyn36ka76x0al0xhcxznrytjr8pm6d and click “Download”.
  11. Open your Finder and navigate to the downloads folder
  12. Double click the VMWare-fusion.dmg
  13. Double click the VMWare icon that pops up
  14. You will get a warning click open
