The domain controllers (aka the DCs) are the systems that host the Austin Active Directory.  Each domain controller hosts a complete and writeable copy of the Austin Active Directory database and the SYSVOL file share and any . All changes to either of these components are replicated to the other domain controllers through Active Directory replication and Distribute File System Replication (DFS-R), respectively.

The Austin Active Directory is supported by multiple domain controllers as detailed on the pages linked below. Please note that this information is provided for reference and individual domain controllers should not be referenced in application configurations without the approval of the Active Directory team. The Active Directory team will make reasonable efforts to inform customers when new domain controllers are added to the domain (aka promoted) or removed from the domain (aka demotion).
