GOOD JOB WITH TRIAL WORKDAY!!

  • We’re finally done with the major recruiting work we just need to sort out who we are taking

  • I’m not sure how we judge people and I don’t know if our trial workday help with that too much tbh but if we can decide a good 9 then that works for me

  • Tip from Tyler “word of advice on onboarding and determining acceptance lists - make sure to think through what projects you want to assign the people you're taking. i've noticed that the best members aren't always the standouts during recruitment but ones who are mentored and given ownership of projects (ie, how they're onboarded affects their success on the team, aside from just their background and experience). we overrecruited last year and had some issues with being able to provide the mentorship and ownership that allows members to really grow“

New Member Onboarding

First workday:

  • Onboarding (download the softwares)

  • Practice CAD (2 hours) – make 5 groups of 2 and 1 sublead per group

Week Plan

  • Kayla Lee - Suspension SRR to be mostly done

  • Evan Zhang - Steering SRR to be mostly done

  • Samiksh Medudula- Unsprung SRR to be mostly done

  • Andrew Chang - Research shock which means he will have a list of shocks we can use and the pros and cons of each. Min 5 different shocks and find shocks that 10 different tea

  • Steven Betancourt - Figure out what other teams use for wheels and tires that have similar specs to Bridgestone ecopias

Goals for myself

  • Overall SRR and provide links to the subleads to help them out as needed

  • Skeleton modeling
