Announcements

Great job with the workday, we got a lot done!

  • I would like to see if everyone can be at workday by 9:30, that means no info at the start is missed and we can maximize workday.

One-on-one meetings

I want to have one-on-one meetings just as a casual conversation to talk about how y’all have been feeling about LHR. Anything I can do to help y’all, if y’all are getting what you want out of the org, things of the sort. Only sign up from the 11th to the 15th. Please :D

  • Are you getting what you want out of LHR (technical, social, professional, etc)?

  • Do you feel properly supported by myself, your subsystem lead, and team management? Is leadership approachable?

  • Are you able to balance school, LHR, social life, and personal responsibilities?

  • Are you enjoying your projects and feel that you are learning what you want to learn?

  • What feedback do you have for my leadership style and interaction with members?

  • Do you enjoy the culture of the system and feel like a valued part of the LHR community?

  • Do you think you have too much, too little, or the right amount of workload?

  • Is there anything that can be improved across your subsystem, system, or the team?

Workday Plan

Plan together

Next week Plan

  • Kayla Lee - working on finalizing front suspension - motion ratio and shock and bellcrank packaging left, if i had a kinematics software it would be ideal to test our dimensions before saying its final. trailing arm is a different story, i will assume it doesnt need to be finalized by the nov deadline.

  • need Samiksh Medudula and

    Evan Zhang

to check if my suspension geom sketch is accurate enough where it pertains to steering and unsprung packaging
    • like my kpi angle and caster angle and if it lines up with what steering believes it should be)

    • and unsprung stackup

    Evan Zhang -

  • Samiksh Medudula -

  • Andrew Chang -

  • William Lai -

  • Joshua Palacios -

  • Sumana Subramanian -

    • Figuring out how multi-axial loading works, understand static loading on the axle in order to find minimum diameter for bearing calcs

    • run FEA on Solidworks

  • Jonathan Truong -

Working with Manas on the rear trailing arm, understanding the split between suspension and unsprung

  • Continue designing the trailing arm in program

  • Axle diameter

  • Sohan Kureti

  • Using data sheet provided by brembo (whoever we get it), try out diff calipers in the program and see how small we can make the rotor size, then compare that against min thickness to see which one is the least mass. Also need to see the dimensions of these calipers as a smaller rotor would not be ideal if the horizontal stackup increases a good amount.

  • Also, looking more into min dia for the axel, testing different materials, making the program and the equations / logic behind it right. Also then adapting that for a hollow axle and seeing the weight differences.
