  1. Select any drive letter that you want the folder mapped to (Windows defaults to Z, but you can select any letter in the drop down box).



  2. Enter the path to the folder you want to map
    1. For staff, use \\engr-scan.austin.utexas.edu\Scanners\ME-Scan\Staff
    2. For faculty, use \\engr-scan.austin.utexas.edu\Scanners\ME-Scan\Faculty

  3. To make the drive persistent so that it is always mapped, check this box to reconnect when you login.
    1. If you are mapping this drive under a non-EID Windows login (nearly everyone should be using Austin Domain/EID logins), you will need to select "Connect using different credentials."

  4. Press Finish and the scan folder should open.
    1. If connecting with different credentials, you will be prompted for your EID login at this point. Use austin\eid format for the username.

  5. To verify the folder is mapped properly, go back to File Explorer and select "This PC" and you should see the mapped drive listed under the C: drive.
    1. You can right-click it and select Pin to Quick access, Pin to Start, or Create a Shortcut (on the desktop) for easier access.
