In Austin ISD, principals
Principals must first be contacted and their permission received prior to talking with the teachers. Coordinators will supply teachers in Austin ISD with Cooperating Teacher Applications each semester. The applications will be completed electronically through DocuSign.
For Round Rock ISD placements, coordinators are to give the Cooperating Teacher Application forms only to campus principals – never directly to the teachers.
Both districts require teachers
Teachers are required to complete and submit Cooperating Teacher Applications/Agreements that have been approved by their principals.
After principal permission is received, teachers may be recruited only during the dates given to us by the
districts
district. The Recruiting and Placement Timeline for each semester will be made available to the coordinators as soon as it is established.
Teachers
in either district
may not host students unless/until a signed form from their principals has been received, either by the Education Services Office or the district. Applications are available on the Education Services Wiki. CT Agreement Forms Submission information may be found at the bottom of the applications.
