- Students must meet all the Office of Graduate Studies' Conditions for Student Employment.
- International students must obtain English language proficiency certification.
- TAs and AIs for a course must have taken the same course or an approved equivalent, and be recommended by the course instructor.
- For ALD 320 and ALD 328 TAs, preference is given to students who have teaching experience at the elementary or secondary level.
- Appointment as an AI requires that students have completed the course 398T College Teaching Methodology (in Educational Psychology or in another department).
- AI and TAs must complete the EDP Student Employee Orientation any UT/Graduate-School required student employee orientations before beginning any AI/TA duties.
