Here is an example of how your timeline should look before exporting.


Next go to >File>Output>Export to File>

    1. Choose Export As QuickTime Movie, Use Marks, Use Enabled Tracks if you only want to export a certain part of the timeline. Leave them unchecked to export the whole timeline
    2. Uncheck Same as Source by clicking on the Custom button
    3. Click on Video and Audio (Recommended)
    4. Video Format 1920 x 1080 Width and Height
    5. Color Levels should be Keep at Legal Range
    6. Display Aspect Ratio leave on Native Dimensions
    7. Click on Format Options

Choose Compression Type H.264

Current fps

Key Frames you can choose Automatic or the Every 24 frame

Compressor Quality turn up the BEST

Encoding Set to Single Pass

Click OK

Video and Sound checkboxes should be checked.

Audio 48kHz 24 bit
Make sure Prepare for Internet Streaming is unchecked
Click OK

This is how the AVID export window should be set
Video Format 1920 x 1080 Width and Height
Color Levels should be Keep at Legal Range
Display Aspect Ratio leave on Native DimensionsClick on Save and will be prompted to select a place to save the quicktime
Then click Save and the export will start.Image Removed

First select your final timeline and choose

>RT click the timeline>Choose Output>Export to File

The next window that opens choose Options

Uncheck use Marks and Selected tracks to make sure

the entire timeline gets exported.


But if you don't want certain tracks or only a portion of

the timeline you can put in and out points on the timeline and choose

Use Marks and Use Selected Tracks

Choose Variable Bit Rate Single Pass to save time on the export

Make sure Audio is checked and choose

Sampling Rate 48 Hz

Bits per Sample 24


Choose Stereo

Compression should be set to H.264

Choose Variable Bit Rate Single Pass for a faster export

!! DON'T FORGET !! 

If you are working in an Ultra High Definition resolution (ie 2K, UHD, or 4K) you need to change your project format back to your original resolution !!
