RTF318: PHONE or SCREEN RECORDING WORKFLOW
So you've decided to shoot your Project B on your phone or computer - great. Read through everything below BEFORE shooting to avoid technical issues. THEN, make sure you read through it again AFTER shooting to follow the step by step guide. Use the side outline feature to navigate between the specific workflows. Here we go...

Avid Ultimate Project Setup 

Open AVID Media Composer
Then open Media Composer click on "New Project" then click on the folder icon to navigate to where you want to save your project then	Image Modified
Name the Project "Mad Men" - YOUR Name Set the Format 720/29.97 Raster dimension 1280 x 720 Color Space YCbCr 601	Image Modified
Choose Create All the way at the bottom of the screen	Image Modified
Now bring the files into AVID In the open BIN right click in the bin and go to >Input>Source Browser	Image Modified
Choose the Import not Link Then click on the Options icon Also note the bin where you will be importing	Image Modified

Media Composer First Navigate to where the files are saved that you want to import and click on import	Image Modified

Click the red X to close the source browser	Image Modified

Navigate to FILE → INPUT → IMPORT MEDIA (pictured below).

Find your footage within your hard drive (in the VIDEO → RAW folder).

Click on the OPTIONS button at the bottom of the window and make the following changes (pictured below)… CHANGE the resolution to DNxHD 80 and change the TARGET DRIVE to your hard drive's name (NOT MACINTOSH HD).

NOTE: The target drive will default to your computer's hard drive. It is VERY IMPORTANT to switch this to your hard drive, ensuring all of your media is there.

Record your screen via Quicktime (Mac) or Game Bar (PC).
