What is an EID?
The UT EID is your online account at The University of Texas at Austin. Most online transactions at the university require a UT EID. Even if you have no other affiliation with the university you can get a UT EID to access online services for guests. Please use this page to obtain a UT EID.
What is an VID?
The VID is your Vendor Identification. All VID are reviewed and verified with various State of Texas Systems. All vendors classified as individuals, sole proprietors and partnerships, must complete a Payee Identification Form (PIF) before payment can be made.

Submit through Dell Med Finance Secured Uploads Box
The form must be completed in its entirety in the appropriate sections. Electronic signatures will not be accepted for the PIF. All entities must manually sign the form.
For New Vendors (Corporations, LLC, etc..)
- Department requests for W-9 from vendor
- Email W-9 to DellMedFinance@austin.utexas.edu and request for a VID to be created
- Dell Med Finance will create VID and submit W-9 to VID Section
- Dell Med Finance confirms new VID with requestor
For Prospective Employees
- Prospective Employee creates EID and notifies Domain Contact
- Prospective Employee submits PIF and ID to Dell Med Finance Secured Uploads Box
- Domain Contact sends EID to DellMedFinance@austin.utexas.edu to notify PIF/ID has been submitted
- Dell Med Finance ties EID to PIF/ID and notifies Domain Contact
- Domain creates RTA (Travel Authorization Request) through the Request Form System (RFS)
- Post travel, Domain submits Travel Reimbursement Request with RTA number
