This page explains registration procedures for 5th Years who are in graduate standing at the time of registration. You are likely registering for your final semester in BME.

STEP 1: ADVISING

Graduate students submit an advising form via Qualtrics about two weeks prior to the beginning of the first spring registration period in October. An email with a link to the advising form will be sent to all graduate students. You will complete your program of work in Qualtrics as part of the advising form.

Warning
Your advising bar will not be lifted until

...

your advising form is received.

STEP 2: REGISTER FOR 3 GRADUATE CLASSES

...

Non-BME Graduate Classes: If you want to enroll in a non-BME course that is restricted, send an email to the Graduate Coordinator (GC) in the department for the class, who can let you know if the department has the course . The course may require instructor approval or the course may be restricted through the first week of classes or whether you need to gain instructor approval to be added to the course. Use . Use the list of all GCs on Graduate Coordinators on campus to locate the appropriate person to email. You may copy Lacy on these emails.

To register for BME 698A or 698B Thesis courses: complete the Thesis Registration Form (attached here) and send it to lacy.white@utexas.edu. Lacy will add you to the Thesis course manually. Note: since you will be taking these courses while in graduate standing, you do not need to complete forms to reserve these courses for graduate credit
