Getting a user account

Access to UTL DAMS is restricted to University of Texas Libraries staff. |
Log in to the DAMS at https://dams.lib.utexas.edu with your EID and password.
Upon your first login, a user account will be automatically created which initially has no access permissions to the DAMS.
You will see the following message after completing the initial login:Note The DAMS management team or Collection Supervisors do NOT get a notification about new accounts created on first login. Make sure to follow step 2 in order to get access permissions.
- Determine which tasks you want to perform in the DAMS and which level of access you need for that:
- View-only access: Contact the DAMS management team to get view-only access to assets stored in the DAMS.
- Access for manually ingesting, editing, downloading or otherwise managing assets: Contact the Collection Supervisor for the respective collection in the DAMS. They need to submit a request to the DAMS management team to grant you the necessary permissions in the DAMS.
- Access for batch-ingesting assets (in addition to manual ingest, edit, download, management permissions): Contact the Collection Supervisor for the respective collection in the DAMS and ask them to specify that you need to perform batch ingests. They need to submit a request to the DAMS management team to grant you the necessary permissions in the DAMS.
