These labels are 2 part labels. The left half is put in the tray with the specimen. This makes for quick and easy to re-shelving. The right side is to be left in the drawer. When the specimen is put back, these labels are pulled out, stapled together and given to the Collection Manager.

Older 'Moved' labels

 

 

Strictly speaking, prior to 2013 there was no specific label to indicate a temporary move. Research on Campus labels, printed on yellow paper, were used when visiting scientists conducted their research at the main NPL building. The 'Moved' labels were used to show a permanent move, and are therefore not part of the 'temporary label' family.
