Many of the day to day queries have already been written and can easily be imported into your Specify workspace.

1. Open the query tab.
2. Right click the 'Create Query' header.
3. Choose 'Import Queries'.
4. In the pop up window, navigate to \\austin\disk\jsg-npl\DocLib\Specify\Queries
5. Select the query you want and hit OK.

Basic Accession Number query

1. Image AddedOpen the Query Tab.
2. Select the Accession Query.
3. Enter the calendar year of the donation
4. Hit 'Search'.
5. Make note of the highest number.

Basic Loan Number Query

This query is just as simple. Image Added

1. Open the Query tab and select the Basic Loan Number Query from the sidebar.
2. Enter the current (4 digit) calendar year.
3. Hit 'Search'
4. Make note of the highest number.
5. the next number in series will be the number to use.
