About Anna Hiss Gymnasium:

Welcome to Anna Hiss Gymnasium, a modern and sleek building on The University of Texas at Austin campus. The gymnasium is not only an impressive architectural feat, but it also houses two of the most innovative departments in the university: the Department of Design within the College of Fine Arts and the Department of Robotics.

Anna Hiss Gymnasium was named after Anna Hiss, a pioneer in physical education and health. Her legacy is continued through the gymnasium’s state-of-the-art equipment, facilities, and available resources to all students and faculty. The design of the building is modern and sleek, with plenty of natural light and open spaces, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all who enter.

Apart from its academic functions, the gymnasium hosts various events yearly. These include art exhibits, workshops, and lectures, making it an excellent place for people who want to learn, socialize and meet new people. The gymnasium is also home to student organizations, including sports clubs and other extracurricular activities that allow students to participate in various events and activities.
