The goal of our project was to commemorate the success of Atlas, a humanoid robot developed by Boston Dynamics.

The intention was to create a diorama in the style of a merry-go-round. Atlas would perform a running walking animation and periodically "jump" over obstacles as the platform rotated under him. Overall, the entire mechanism would be driven by a single motor and a series of gear trains.


Due to time constraints, we decided to remove the rotating platform and focus on the design of Atlas.
