The following procedure provides instructions for adding the Fujitsu Scanner to your Network Placesfor running the Retention Flag tool for the Meridian vault.  The Retention Flag tool will identify documents that have met or are within a certain number of days of meeting the designated retention end date.  See the information at the end of this procedure for an overview of the tool provided by the vendor, ACAD-Plus.

1.  From your Desktop, double-click on My Network PlacesOpen the Production Vault Tools & Support folder (most likely you will have a shortcut on your desktop).

2.  Double-click the Add Network Place icon Open the Tools folder.

3.  The Add Network Place Wizard will open.  Click the Next prompts through the Wizard; when asked, "What is the address of this network place?" enter the following:  \\ecs-meridian.austin.utexas.edu\Fujitsu.  Click Next. Open (double-click) the RetentionFlag tool.

4.  Accept the default name for the Network Place:  Fujitsu on Meridian EDM (ecs-meridian.austin.utexas.edu).  Click NextConfirm that the correct Configuration File is selected and that the correct Meridian Vault is listed.

5.  There should be a check mark next to "Open this network place when I click Finish.".  Click FinishClick the Flag Documents button.

6.  Fujitsu on Meridian EDM (ecs-meridian.austin.utexas.edu) should appear in your Network Places list nowRespond Yes when the Log Exists box asks if you want to append the list.  Note:  this will ensure that we have a history of each time the tool is run rather than replacing / overwriting the file.
