- Click Click on the the Image button button on the bottom.
- Choose Choose your image – it will be added in the Image URL field.
- Add Add an Image Description (this is the alt tag)
- Add Add a Caption
- If your image will be floating to the left or not floating at all, fill in the Caption Class field with maincaption.
- Click on Insert at Click on Insert at the top of the window.
- Carefully select (highlight) the caption text and image. Only the caption text and image should be selected (highlighted blue) – no other text in the article should be selected.
- Confirm you have selected correctly by seeing if the Format menu says Figure (this is the box where it tells you if you have a paragraph or an h2, etc.)
- Choose the desired float style from the Style menu. There is float-left and float-right.
- If you choose float-left, you are done. Save your changes and check the live site.
- NOTE: If you choose float-right, you will also need to add a class to the caption text. Carefully select only the caption text and select maincaption-right from the Style menu. Save your changes and check the live site.
- Save the article and check that the styles are correct.
