In the event that a student needs to cancel or change an their appointment, you can do it for them or they can take care of it through their account. If a student needs to reschedule, either you or the student should create a new appointment and then "Cancel" the old appointment. To create the new appointment, follow the instructions under "Booking Appointments".

Below are instructions for you to help cancel their appointment. Be sure to ask if they would like help rescheduling the appointment. Also, please remind students that 24-hour notices for cancellations are appreciated.


  1. Log in using Use the following link :   UT AppointmentsClick Appointments on the far left. Appointments is your home page – it has everything you'll need to access including upcoming appointments and the link to book appointmentsto get to MyUGS: https://utdirect.utexas.edu/apps/ugs/ugsdb/scheduling/learning/appointments/
  2. Click over to the Learning Specialists tab shown in a blue box in the picture below.
  3. Find the upcoming appointment in the list. You can find the appointment by sorting or by searching. You can sort by simply clicking on the column title to shift how the list is sorted (Appointment Date or Last Name work well). You can search using the "Keyword" box and clicking "Apply Search".
  4. Click on the “View” icon for the appointment in question.
  5. Click "Cancel Student."

  3. The student will receive a cancellation email. Inquire if they would like any assistance in booking a new appointment.
