  • To create and manage all T&D employee appointments, job assignments, recruitments, and reclassifications in the Human Resource system.
  • To serve as the primary T&D point of contact for Human Resources support by advising employees (staff, faculty, and students)
  • . Assists Chair with faculty nominations for awards and research assignments, faculty leave requests and other faculty affairs. Maintains faculty files.
  • Provide Human Resources support to the department by advising department employees in HR functional areas such as employee benefits, performance management,

    recruitment (to include researching job codes and salary analysis)

  • Create and manage Theatre and Dance employee appointments, job assignments, recruitments, and reclassifications in Workday. Utilizes standard operating procedures for managing timekeeping. Supervises other staff who assist in these areas.
  • Provide strategic planning and project management support of Chair's initiatives and priorities, including facilities improvement and expansion, program development, and production season enhancement including scheduling, marketing and publicity.
  • Provide administrative support for Theatre and Dance Budget Council, Executive Council, and Area Heads by recording minutes, tabulating votes, and preparing agenda and meeting materials.
  • To ensure main office runs smoothly in daily operations.

  • To schedule and conduct weekly and annual staff meetings.

  • To supervise T&D Building Manager, Course Scheduler and Front Desk Administrative Assistant.

  • To final approve staff time sheets, with the exception of the Costume Shop staff.
  • To serve as the primary back-up to the finance manager in approving financial documents..
  • Oversee daily operations in the main administrative office.

  • Supervise five staff members: Assistant Operations Manager (vacant), Course Scheduler (Clarissa Smith), Administrative Assistant and ABT Summer Intensive Coordinator (Tori Marshall), Administrative Associate (Averil Houston), and Communications Coordinator (Megan Bommarito). Schedules, organizes and conducts regular meetings with Theatre and Dance staff.
