when you need to access your data from a recent session

Warning

Data will only appear in your SFTP account if you set the "Referring Physician" field on the scanner to the name of your Principle Investigator. If you fail to set your "Referring Physician" field correctly you will have to collect your data manually.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open a FTP/SFTP client of your choice
  2. For the host use either filetransfer.biomedimaging.utexas.edu or sftp://filetransfer.biomedimaging.utexas.edu (which one you use is dependent on the FTP/SFTP client you chose).
  3. Under username copy and paste the username from the Stache entry for your lab. Its name is in the format "<Labname> Filetransfer SFTP Account"
  4. For the password use the password provided in the Stache entry above.
  5. You'll see folders named after the scan protocol you used, it is usually easiest to download the entire folder at once.
  6. The dicoms will be in a single directory. Tools like dcm2nii can operate on them as is, but if you need to separate them into folders it is usually easiest to import them into a freely available dicom viewer then reexport them.
Warning

Data will only appear in your SFTP account if you set the "Referring Physician" field on the scanner to the name of your Principle Investigator. If you fail to set your "Referring Physician" field correctly you will have to collect your data manually.

Info
If you do not have access to a filetransfer Stache entry, then your SFTP account may not be set up. Ask your lab members if they have access, or you can open a ticket with support@biomedimaging.utexas.edu
