This page explains what you'll need to know to use the ViewSonic PJD6352 projector on the Siemens Skyra 3.0T MRI scanner in NHB. This projector was installed 22 July, 2019, and replaced the ProPixx PROPixx projector that had been in use for several years previous. This projector supports HDMI, mini-DP (aka mini-DisplayPort), and DL-DVI (aka Dual Link-DVI) inputs from laptops. The projector is turned on and off using a web interface that can be accessed from most computers connected to the campus network (via Ethernet or WiFi).

4) you may see a Warming Up dialog when you turn on the projector, or a Cooling Down dialog when shutting down. This is normal, but please do not click anything while either of these dialogs are displayed. This will decrease the bulb life and could actually make it fail. A note about the cooling down phase- You do not need to keep this web page open until the cooling down is completed. That process will continue whether or not the web page is open, and it could take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes, depending on how long it takes to cool down the bulb to it's nominal temperature. However, since it could take a while, it probably makes sense to keep the projector on if another group is going to use it immediately after your scan. warm up-cool down cycles also shorten the bulb's life.
VERY IMPORTANT: Do not click any other buttons on this page. You do not need any other options here. Only use this page to turn the power on and off.
