Changing Your Password
In Engineering, Faculty and others with special circumstances can obtain a secondary domain account that has administrative privileges on their UT Windows computer. This account should NEVER be used for daily work. It should be used sparingly and cautiously. You can use this account to install software from well-known and trusted vendors. Please see Using Engineering Windows Administrator Account for more detailed information.

Claiming Your Account
Once a secondary account has been created for you, please go to the following page to claim your account and set your password. You will be required to use DUO for second factor authentication (UT Two-Factor Authentication).

- Select "Department User Tools"
- Login with your EID and EID password
- Sign in with DUO (second factor authentication)
- Choose "Claim Account"
- If you do not need to change your password, simply select "Claim This Account" (circled in red). If you would like to set or change your password, un-select the checkbox "Keep existing password" (circled in yellow) and enter and confirm a new password and then select "Claim This Account."
