Send Email from Resource Mailbox Email Address 

Windows Outlook
  • In a new message, go to the Options tab and select the From button in the Show Fields section
  • Select the From button in the new message and find the mailbox name in the Global address list
  • NOTE:  You must choose it from the GAL and not enter it by hand

  • In Outlook, Go to the File Tab
  • Choose Account Settings> Account Settings



  • Select Change



  • Select More Settings



  • Advanced Tab
  • Select Add
  • Enter:  <Enter the mailbox address or display name>
  • Select OK… until you get through all the windows.
  • The mailbox will now be in your folder list

Access Resource Mailbox via Outlook Web App (OWA)

You can also view the mailbox via a web browser. When you send a message in OWA in comes "from" the mailbox you are viewing.

  • Log into your own mailbox, https://outlook.office365.com.
  • Once logged in, choose your initials in the top right corner and select "Open another mailbox"
  • In the search box, enter the display name or the email address of the mailbox
  • When the mailbox is found, select it and select "open".

Access Resource Mailbox via Mac Outlook

  1. On the Tools menu, click Accounts.

  2. Click the plus sign and then click New Account to add an additional Exchange account.

  3. In the E-mail address field, enter the email address of the shared mailbox.

  4. You will be directed to the UT login page and will be required to use DUO (2nd factor authentication)
