What is Jamf

Jamf is an enterprise management and inventory tool (commonly referred to as EPM (End Point Management) for Apple devices. This allows IT staff to ensure OS and application patches are being properly installed. Recent campus policy changes have mandated that all university computers have EPM tools installed.  Jamf also allows computer owners to easily install optional University software (Cyberduck, Box Drive, VLC Player, etc) without admin credentials, within the new UT Self Service application. Authorized IT staff can see inventory information and system status for providing end-user help and answering any University compliance or audit requests.
