Financial donations to AILLA may AILLA are greatly appreciated and may be made by credit card or check.  All donations go directly into AILLA's endowment. The interest from this endowment is used to pay for things such asthe following expenses:

  • salaries for AILLA's student staff;
  • the purchase of digitization equipment and software;
  • the outsourced digitization of for formats that we are not able to digitize in house;
  • travel for AILLA staff and Fellows; and
  • translation of AILLA's metadata, training materials, and open educational resources (OERs) into Spanish and Portuguese.

When you follow this link, AILLA will should be designated as the recipient in 2 locations, as shown in the image below: in the recipient list on the left, and under "My Gifts" on the right. You may select any amount that you wish to donate. 

If AILLA is not automatically populated in these two locations, please enter "Archive of the Indigenous Languages of Latin America Endowment" in the search window (step 1 in the screenshot below)

When the selections appear, click the ADD button for "Archive of the Indigenous Languages of Latin America Endowment" to add the recipient to your card (step 2 below).

  • Make the check payable to: The University of Texas at Austin.
  • Put “COLA - AILLA” in the memo section.
  • Enclose a letter that states that your donation should be directed to the “Archive of the Indigenous Languages of Latin America (AILLA) endowment”, which is held in the Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies (LLILAS) in the College of Liberal Arts (COLA).
