POLICY 

All Department of Psychiatry has set aside room HDB 4.208E as a Subject Interview Space. The room will includes carpeting, chairs, a table, phone and the door is frosted to ensure subject privacyfaculty and staff have the ability to reserve research space. Follow the instructions below to reserve itspace.

HOW TO RESERVE THE SUBJECT INTERVIEW ROOMS

Each room is outfitted to be used for a multitude of purposes. See descriptions below. All rooms are outfitted with phones, unless indicated otherwise. 

  • HDB 4.208C: human subject/participant check-in and waiting area–this area is private and closed off, accessible only by Psychiatry research faculty/staff and participants (furnished by the department with couch, table, chairs, children's table)
  • HDB 4.208D: blood collection, clinical assessments (furnished by the department with blood draw chair)
  • HDB 4.208E: clinical assessments (for non-bio hazard use), interviews (furnished by the department with table, chair)
  • HDB 4.208A: interviews, assessments (furnished by Lippard Lab)
  • HDB 4.208P: interviews, assessments (furnished by the department with table, chairs, TV, whiteboard, conferencing ability)
  • HDB 4.222A: interviews, assessments (furnished by Dunsmoor Lab)
  • HDB 4.222B: interviews, assessments (furnished by the department with table, chairs, couch, partition)
  • HDB 4.222R: blood collection, clinical assessments, interviews (furnished by the department with exam table, blood draw chair, refrigerator for research use only)
  • HDB 4.222.31: landing space for volunteer use (reserve on PSY Shared Workspace outlook calendar)

HOW TO RESERVE A ROOM

STEP 1: Checking availability:Check Availability

  • In your Outlook calendar, click on Open Calendar in the toolbar, then click from Address Book*
  • In the search field, enter respective room, i.e. HDB 4.208E
  • Double click the HDB 4.208E selection and then click OK
  • The calendar will open (may take a few minutes) and you may check its availability. Be mindful of reserved times—reservations are approved on a first-come-first-served basis, i.e. do not reserve a time that is already booked, your request will be declined by the calendar administrator if there is a previous reservation.

*If you are looking for a room that the Address Book is not showing, click “from Room List” instead of “from Address Book” and then repeat the steps above.


STEP 2:  Reserving Reserve the Room
  • After checking availability, create a New Appointment in your Outlook calendar
  • Click on Invite Attendees, then click on the To field/button
  • Enter the name of the room you wish to book, HDB 4.222P for example, select and click OK
  • Send the invite along with the other attendees and meeting details
  • The calendar administrator will receive your invite and will accept/deny your request for booking according to the room’s availability
  • You may check the status of your reservation at any time by opening the outlook meeting and clicking on Tracking
