How to Book a Learning Specialist Appointment:
- Use the following link to get to MyUGS: https://utdirect.utexas-insight.symplicity.com/manager
- Click Appointments. Appointments is your home page – it has everything you'll need to access including upcoming appointments and the link to book appointments
- To book an appointment: click Find Availability. We don't want to create a new appointment - we want to pick up an available appointment that a Learning Specialist has already created.
4. ‘Find Availability’ brings you to exactly what the student would see if they were booking it themselves. Here you will select the Type (Academic Probation, Time Management, etc) and the Date Range, with both of those options completed you can click ‘Check Availability.’ the Location drop down menu does not need to be completed, nor do you need to select a specific Learning Specialist.

- Click over to the Learning Specialists tab shown in a blue box in the picture below.
- Select the Appt type from the drop-down menu and enter any other data that may refine your search (i.e. date, requested staff member…). Make sure to click search to apply the changes.
- From the available appointments, select the date and time that works best for the student.

6. Enter Student's Name – not EID. Add any additional notes. Disregard the options to select reoccurring appointments. Click the 'Yes' box to automatically approve appointments.
7. Click "Submit." A confirmation email will be automatically sent.

- Enter the student’s EID, select the appointment type, and click schedule student (green button).
- Ask the student the following questions and record their answers in each field.
- How did you hear about our services?
- From 1 to 10, how would you rate your (skills specific to type of appointment)? (1 is very poor and 10 is excellent).
- What name would you like to use for your appointment?
- What pronouns do you use (she/he/they/etc.)
- Is there anything you'd like me to note for your Learning Specialist?
