The department chair, dean, or their designee must ensure that all tenure-track faculty and tenured associate professors have been observed in rank at least three times by faculty colleagues while teaching their organized courses and that a minimum of three written peer observations are available to be included in the dossier.

However, the preference is for at least three peer observations to be completed at least a year before the candidate’s dossier is reviewed so that the candidate can make changes in response to the feedback provided and reflect on the impact of those changes.
