When prompted, the candidate shall must provide the department or college/school with a list of recommended potential external reviewers who satisfy the criteria in Subsection D.9(a) to provide evaluative letters for the promotion dossier keeping in mind that most of the external letters included in the dossier should be from reviewers nominated solely by the department or college/school[Section D.10(a)].

The candidate shall review the list of individuals selected by the department chair/dean before the potential reviewers are contacted by the chair or dean. Concerns . Candidates may express concerns about any reviewers on the list may be expressed to the department chair (or dean) by the candidate before the stated deadline (a minimum of two full business days after receiving the list of reviewers’ names). The candidate may place also include a statement in the Additional Statements folder dossier (Section G.1211) to document any their concerns about the external reviewers selected.

The candidate has the option of requesting that letters be solicited the department chair/dean solicit letters from close collaborators. These letters, if received, are included in the dossier in the Supplemental Materials folder [Subsection Section G.1312(ln)].
