There are three expressions of the primary logo designed for different purposes
Primary Logos
FORMAL
The formal logo is the preferred form to use whenever possible.
It is made up of three parts: 1. the shield; 2. the formal university name; and 3. the official name, McCombs School of Business.
INFORMAL
The informal logo is for digital and promotional materials. It is not allowed for print.
It is composed of two elements: 1. the shield with “Texas;” and 2. the school’s shorthand name “McCombs.”
STACKED
The stacked logo is for digital and promotional materials. It is not allowed for print.

Secondary Logos — Program, Center, Initiative, and Department Logos
Academic programs, Business Options, and the Alumni Network have customized secondary versions of all three of the new logos (formal, informal, and stacked). They are the only groups that have a customized stacked logo for marketing and promotional purposes.

Staff offices do not have customized secondary logos. Staff offices must use the primary logo for all purposes — print, digital, and promotional. They may create customized materials by combining any of the three versions of the primary logos with a type treatment using the approved system described in our logo guidelines.

Logo Plus Type Treatment
Type treatments may be used to emphasize a program, center, event, marketing message, staff office, center, certificate, etc. with either primary or secondary logos for print, digital, or promotional purposes. This allows for maximum flexibility for all McCombs entities.

Type treatments should be in university/McCombs branded fonts or their substitute, and may not appear to be their own logos.
The type treatment should not include “McCombs” unless it is part of the official name.

The secondary logo is available in certain instances. For things like polo shirts, vests, and jackets where the logo is on the chest, the primary logo should be used, and the program name can be added to the sleeve.
