Granting a late submit resets the timer in full. If you want to add additional arbitrary amount of time, please hop over to the back up server:https://lbtest.cns.utexas.edu/instructor/coursesmake sure you're on the newer code base (with blocks of blue/green, less white space; if you don't see this follow these steps to get yourself there)
drill into the exam, click ‘exam dashboard’ ‘exam dashboard’ on the left, and add time there. More info on what that may look like on your side at: https://wikis.utexas.edu/display/questla/Exam+Dashboard

If for any reason the late submit does not reset the available time for the recipient, go to the assignment's 'answer key', find the specific student, and click 'reset timer' (which will fully reset their time).
If timed, students (on the newer code base) should see a dynamic timer in the upper left hand corner.
