Welcome to ELP!


ELP Department Orientation


Congratulations once again on your acceptance to the Educational Leadership and Policy (ELP) program at UT Austin! We are thrilled to welcome you to our amazing community. As the summer draws closer to August, we are counting down the days to have you all on campus!

To kick off your journey with us, we have scheduled a New Student Orientation on August 22nd, Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This event is designed to provide you with important information and to help you get acquainted with the program and your fellow students. Registration can be found at this link.

Event Details:
Date: August 22, Thursday
Time: 10 AM - 3 PM, Optional bowling social hour starts at 3pm
Location: Sanchez Building, 1912 Speedway, Austin, TX 78705
Program Wide Social Hour: Following the orientation at UT Underground Bowling


Attendance at orientation is highly encouraged as it will cover essential information for your upcoming years at UT with ELP. A detailed schedule will be provided soon, including parking and check-in instructions.

Graduate School Orientation

Each fall, the Graduate School presents an orientation designed specifically for new graduate students. The Fall 2024 Orientation will be on August 23, 2024. 


Pre-Arrival Checklist 

Get ready for orientation and classes by completing these steps. Take note—more than a few of them are required to access university technology. Please check with your Graduate Coordinator to see if your department requires anything additional.
