  • Contactor driver and dataacq env board ordered.

  • eFuse testboard ready for review. Will be ordered alongside power board

  • Good progress on env board software (reading humidity and temp values on terminal).

  • Active precharge board undergoing a slight change (changing power delivery from LDO to buck). Finished and awaiting review.

  • Power monitoring board sch reviewed. Layout will start soon.

  • Encountered some issues when trying to spotweld on sigmaclad. Reached out to Kevin Yu (electric) with observations and questions. Havent recieved a response just yet.

Week Plan

  • Continue battery manufacturing (spotwelding) testing

  • review active precharge and eFuse testboard.

  • We also try out hand at the challenges placed before us. But we do it better. 😎

Upcoming Deadlines

  • - Power Board Layout
  • - Order Power Board
  • - Order eFuse testboard
  • - ESP32 Batt Char board sch
  • - Power Mon board layout
  • - Active Precharge layout

🔌 Electromechanical:

Updates

  • critical hardware back in car and harnessed

  • mock cooling intake done to send to regs

  • ready to manufacture mock modules

  • start characterization of a few cells with ps

Week Plan

  • have all battery box panel cutouts finished and dxfs created for waterjet

    • only layups will be a blocker then

Upcoming Deadlines

  • EOD Sat - BB waterjet files

🧑‍🏭 Body:

Updates

  • Frame 1st iteration had to be redone (hardpoints changing caused this, that problem is solved now)

  • Jig Design plan and Welding order started

  • Pedal Jig used, pedal ratio was tested and confirmed for daybreak pedal box redesign

  • Steering Wheel layup setup tested → needs to be refined?

Week Plan

Frame

  • start simulating frame → get initial data for first iteration

  • create initial design ideas for frame jig

Ergo

  • continue working on steering wheel designs

  • finish up daybreak pedal box changes (test pedal jig, finish design)

  • start work on next gen seat

Upcoming Deadlines

  • Nov 16, 2024 - Driver Model finalized
  •

🔩 Dynamics:

Updates

  • Unsprung: Unsprung ran sims on axle diameters, tried out SKF Sim Quick Pro for bearing and trailing arm geometry began development

  • Suspension: Suspension researched adams kinematics software, Kayla worked on refining her sketch to find non-hdpts defined values, trailing arm geometry began development

  • Steering: Steering worked on bump steer research + created a 3D sketch for Ackermann because I had anti for some reason + found the C factor of the old steering rack on the car + found issues with steering placement relative to the bounding box that we have + found a steering geometry that should work for new gen

Week Plan

  • Unsprung: 2 upright designs, 2 hub designs for Sami, Sumi, and Sohan. Jonathan works on rear swingarm which shows methods of motor and caliper mounting

  • Steering: Research bump steer optimization and have it implemented in CAD by workday

  • Suspension: Carter secures adams/dynatune, La’akea sims pushrods, Oliver sims control arms, Manas works with Jonathan on refining trailing arm hdpts

Upcoming Deadlines

  • - Location of steering rack (code is broken, talking to Jacob about it. Will try to get a value that is worst case though.) - Steering
