NOTE THE PROTOOLS SYSTEM HAS TO HAVE THE DIGITRASNLATOR PLUG IN
INSTALLED AND AUTHORIZED IN ORDER TO IMPORT .OMF FILES. USE ANY OF
THE FOLLOWING ROOMS. PROTOOLS 2,3,4,5,4D, CMB1.106, CMB1.108,
CMB1.111, CMB1.113
Place the .omf file and the DV/NTSC compressed QuickTime on to one of the |

Navigate to the .omf file, select it and click open. |
|
Choose the following SessionParameters |
|
Name the session and choose where to save it |
|
In the next window make sure all tracks are selected for import and change "Convert clip-based gain to automation" and “Uncheck” (pan odd tracks left and even tracks right) Settings look like this: |

ALSO WHEN OPENING AN OMF MAKE SURE that “Copy from source media” is selected in Audio Media Options. |
|
On the next screen choose not to save a report. (if that dialog appears) |
|
Now click on >Windows >Show Session Setup and make sure the frame rate is |
|
|
|
Go to >File>Import>Video and navigate to the QuickTime file saved on the storage drive and select it. |
|
The dialog will ask you where to put the newly imported Video track. Select “New Track” and click OK |
|
To show the movie on an external monitor go to >Options>Video out FireWire |
|
12. Check to make sure that the session is in sync with the video. |
