Reassigning a Phone to a new Employee

There are a couple of steps required when assigning a VoIP phone to a new employee, reassigning voicemail and updating Caller ID

Step 1: Request reassignment of voicemail.

Send an email to utvoicemail@austin.utexas.edu with the following information:

     Subject: Reassignment of voicemail for 512-XXX-XXXX *

In the body of the email include: 

     Phone: 512-XXX-XXXX *

     Subscriber:  New employee's full name

     UT-EID: New employee UT-EID

Previous subscriber: Previous employee's name who was assigned that phone

Cc: email addresses of new employee, requestor, office manager for unit or all

Contact:  contact info of requestor



Please provide Option 1, a complete mailbox replacement for this number for the new hire that works in this office, Estephany Castillo. 

  • (the voicemail number you wish to reassign)

 

Step 2: Request update of Caller ID.
