Though many institutions provided records from outside of Texas and we retain them in the database, only records within our scope were fully processed. As a result, users may find records from outside of Texas, but they will not be mapped because they have not been assigned coordinates by us, lack data for categorical variables, may have non-standard species names, etc. These records, however, may have benefited from some processes, such as normalization of collector names, etc. We hope to expand the project beyond Texas in the future.
