In conclusion, my 6-bar mechanism performed as expected. I encountered several problems during the construction of the mechanism, many of which could be fixed in the future with better planning. Using nuts as spacers come with the disadvantage that with constant motion, the nuts begin to rotate around the threads, leading to loose pin joints. In the future, I would design better spacers, perhaps laser-cutted out of acrylic or wood.
