The joint of interest shown is the most prominent velocity profile in our mechanism because it will carry the card at our targeted velocity. The card will be stuck to the mechanism at this joint via sticky tack, and the rapid motion of this joint will be halted abruptly to overcome the adhesive force of the sticky tack.
