The DCs in AWS are grouped based upon the AWS regions they reside in and their intended purpose.
DCs in US East 1
The DCs in the US East 1 region (aka WE1 DCs) will support authentication and authorization for domain-joined devices connected to the Virtual WAN in the same region. The WE1 DCs will be in the Austin-WE1 site and will use InCommon certificates The WE1 DCs will be deployed in early-to-mid 2023.

Legacy AWS DCs
The legacy AWS DC is in the US East 1 region and support testing of connectivity to AWS infrastructure. The legacy AWS DC is in the Austin-WE1 site and use InCommon certificates. The legacy AWS DC will be replaced by DCs in the US East 1 region when WE1 DCs are available in that region.
