How to Configure UTexas Email on Mac Mail

Summary:

Instructions on how to configure Mac Mail to work with UTexas gmail accounts.

Open Mail and Add a New Account, make sure to select Add Other Mail Account... and then click Continue.
Fill in the information as indicated, make sure to use the full @utexas.edu email address as the user name.
Input the Incoming Mail Server settings and then click Next.
Account Type: IMAP
Mail Server: imap.gmail.com
Username: name@utexas.edu
Password: the @utexas.edu password
Input the Outgoing Mail Server settings and then click Create.
SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
User Name: Same as before
Password: Same as before
