Problem

Unexpected Output Fault may be an error you encounter with the ShopBot CNC. This error is caused by a miss-step in communications from the workstation to the Shoptbot controls. The error is easy to fix by running your file from the current line; which will resume your job.

This guide may also be used to start a job part-way through for any reason.

Solution

  1. Note down the number in the 'Current Line' box.
  2. Click 'Quit' not 'Close & Exit'
    1. Clicking 'Close & Exit' will exit out of all shopbot applications and is not what we want.
    2. Clicking 'Quit' will keep your calibration settings and allow us to immediately run a file without the need to recalibrate.
  3. Enter command 'FG'.
    1. This command allows you to choose which line in the file to start your job at. we will want to resume our job on the same line number.
  4.  Start by verifying the 'Line Number' starts 10-steps prior to where the error occurred.
    1. If the operation failed at line 133753, round it down by at least 10 lines, this will send your operation back by 10-steps. the new number will be 133740 in this case.
    2. Verify 'setup a re-start of this file' is selected
    3. Click 'GO'
      1. The CNC will move to the start position of that operation
      2. Press 'Run from Here' to start the operation.
        1. CNC will ask you to press the green 'start' button to turn on the spindle
        2. Then Press 'OK'
