Summer 2023

April 3 - April 14 Registration for continuing and readmitted students.
May 2Fee bills electronically distributed. Students notified by email.
May 22 - May 24Continued registration for continuing and readmitted students.
Add/Drops for students who have paid.
May 30 - May 31Registration for all students (For all summer sessions)
Add/Drops for students who have paid.
June 6Tuition and fee payment due by 5 p.m. Students with zero bills must confirm their registration via the Web to prevent cancellation.
July 7Registration for students enrolling for second session only. Tuition and fees must be paid or zero bills confirmed by 5 p.m. on July 13.
July 10Last day for new doctoral candidates to change registration in research hours to dissertation hours.
July 28Last day to apply for a graduate degree. Last day a doctoral candidate may hold a dissertation defense for summer 2023.
August 11Last day to submit final paperwork to the Graduate School for graduation.


First Session - June 1- July 6

June 1 - 2Web Add/Drops, $25 Late Registration Fee.
June 5 - 6Departmental Add/Drops, $50 Late Registration Fee.
June 6Last day to add a class or drop with a refund. Add bills due by 5 p.m.
June 7 - 14 Automatic Q-drop; no refund or academic penalty.
June 22Last day to change grade status to or from CR/NC.
July 6Last class day. Last day to drop first session courses.
August 11Last day to withdraw.


Nine Week Session - June 1 - July 25

June 1 - 2Web Add/Drops; $25 Late Registration Fee.
June 5 - 6Departmental Add/Drops, $50 Late Registration Fee.
June 6Last day to add a class or drop with a refund. Add bills due by 5 p.m.
June 7 - 14 Automatic Q-drop; no refund or academic penalty.

July 25Last class day. Last day to drop nine-week session courses.
August 11Last day to withdraw.


Whole (Twelve Week) Session - June 1 - August 11

 Fall 2023

August 18Deadline for graduate students to be registered in absentia in the fall.
August 21First class day.
August 21 -  24Late registration for all students. $25 late fee in effect.
(Note: Late fee increases to $50 on Aug. 25 and $200 on Sept. 7)
Add/drops for registered and paid students. Add bills due on Sept. 6 by 5 p.m.
August 21 - September 6
(First 12 class days)
Delete drop period.
Classes added, dropped and grade status changed online from Aug. 21 - Aug. 24
Classes added, dropped and grade status changed in the department offering the course from Aug. 25 - Sept. 6
August 24Tuition and fee payment due by 5 p.m. Students with zero bills must confirm their registration via the Web to prevent cancellation.
September 6The Twelfth Class Day. Last day to add/drop a course with a refund,
Payment for added classes due by 5 p.m.
September 7 - 18Q drop period. Courses may be dropped without academic penalty.
Approval of the Graduate Adviser and Graduate Dean required.
September 19 - December 4 Q/F drop period. Dropping a course requires the approval of the instructor, who must assign a "Q" or "F," the Graduate Adviser and the Graduate Dean.
November 10Last day to apply for a graduate degree.
Last day for new doctoral candidates to change registration to dissertation.
November 17Last day a doctoral candidate may hold a dissertation defense for fall 2023.
November 20Last day to change grade status to or from the credit/ no credit basis.
December 1Last day to submit final paperwork to the Graduate School for graduation.
December 4Last class day. This is the last day to drop a class or withdraw from the fall semester.
