Documentation Working Group 2016-2017
The goals of the Documentation Working Group include:
- Address the immediate need of Islandora repositories on campus for a central point of exchange for documentation
- Create standards and templates for technical documentation (metadata styleguides, workflows, etc.) that can be adopted by the Digital Asset Management Task Force and made available to the broader campus community
- Determine the resources required to support a central documentation repository (platform, publishing process/vetting, hosting, outreach so that people know that it is available)
The success of this working group depends on:
- A coalition of the willing
- Members that feel there is a need for campus-wide knowledge management around digital asset management/digital preservation/metadata workflows
- Members whose experience and expertise are needed to support the ongoing development of core digital infrastructure across campus
