Adding phonetic spelling/ "sound like" to patient information in PnC:

  1. Go to Pnc Web > Click on PncRegistration icon (1)

  2. In the PncRegistration window (2), select the Patient tab (3)> search for the patient (4)

  3. In the patient registration page, select Reg Summary (1) > Under Miscellaneous (Custom Fields), click Edit (2)

  4. In Miscellaneous (Custom Fields) window: Type the phonetic spelling or "sound alike" name for the patient under the Phonetic field (1) > Save (2)

How to see the patient's name phonetic spelling/"sound alike" in PNC:

  1. Go to Pnc Web > Click on PncChart (1)> Find your patient > Go to Registration (2)> the phonetic spelling/"sound alike" of the patient's name is under the Miscellaneous (Custom Fields) section, in the Phonetic field (3)

  2. If the Phonetic field is missing from the Miscellaneous (Custom Fields) section, this means there is nothing entered yet in the Phonetic field for that patient.
