Reflection Questions Small Groups

Everyone

  • What is something you accomplished that you are proud of?

  • What have been some of your challenges this fall, and how were you able to overcome them?

  • What are your fears when thinking about spring semester?

  • What are your next steps in preparing for the spring semester?

  • What is one way you noticed growth in your adult learners? What is something you could have done to deepen their experience?

1 hour

Odds and Ends

Amy

  • Discussion on maintaining rigor with undergrads, especially practicum students. Practicum students' projects should be well documented throughout our program just as children’s work is

  • Colleague observations (with children and with undergrads) can be used for CNS purposes, but they should also just be normal operating procedures

  • Outside employment must be documented with UT and may not exceed 20% of your appointed hours with UT

  • Reminder: thorough cleaning every week to make our jobs easier at the end of the semester. This means our practicum students and GAs must be trained to carryout our upkeep expectations

  • Reminder: Family style meals! We are being observed for this specifically

  • We will be hosting many more EDC classes this semester that will focus on small groups - Adriana will share this schedule with relevant classes as soon as she gets it

  • Field trips: Make sure you check with Adriana first for observation purposes, then tell parents 48 hours ahead of time, then get permission

  • Hallie’s party 1/10 4-6:30

  • Feeding Souls on 1/23 - whole school musical event. Details TBA

  • Annual fundraising party 3/29 (Saturday evening)

  • Open house Saturday 4/12 (end of Week of the Young Child)
