Announcements

Michael

  • Basically nobody has filled out the Daybreak Gantt chart. It was due a week ago

    • How do you expect to be able to stay on track to get this car finished by

    • As far as I can tell there has been literally zero progress mechanically speaking

    • Some of the plan for daybreak alterations are reaching beyond the scope of what we originally agreed upon

  • I want to have a karaoke party on Oct 11, 2024 to celebrate the completion of SRR. Thoughts?

  • Are we taking the car to F1????

Upcoming Deadlines

Philip

Dynamics

Can i please get next gen estimated weight and CG (from ground or axle or belly pan doesnt matter just let me know) of frame, aeroshell, battery? If any other system has this information on their components pls forward to me as well (idk maybe like the rest of the electronics/enclosures or smth). And if there is an estimate of CG from front or rear axle or relative to the entire car body from any of these systems it would be appreciated for this info as well. I have estimated values for all of these using things I have asked systems combined w their DB values but it would be bit more accurate from the systems to give to me. If possible can I get that tonight or like by tomorrow, even a rough guess is helpful - I can find our max lateral acceleration before tipping if I can get this information - then change track width or wheelbase to stabilize (some of the approximations of longitudinal CGs of all the mech systems are in a separate confluence article if anyone wants to see what I got) - also working on a reference sketch that will be more helpful once ^ inputs can guide the control arm lengths, sorry for the amt of time its taking - Kayla

  • Members are goated they listen to me and value their learning from Parra’s lectures

  • Communication is still a little iffy between me and the other people but giving specific pings is helping with that

 Action items

Mechanical Leads + subleads come up with key deadlines. Hammer out during mech leads Saturday
Leads get clickup filled out until November for daybreak with a good amount of detail during division meetings

 Decisions

Notes:

  • We need to start filling out task management tools

  • New tracking software?

    • Gantt integration into main task management software

    • still use clickup

  • Michael and Philip make everyone's timelines?

    • Probably not too many things for them to do

  • avoid deadline snowballing

  • Splitting up work for daybreak between new and old members

    • subleads come up with detailed plans and see what can be given to new members

    • pair people if old member has to complete a specific task to continue learning

  • Check in with members 1on1

    • how they are doing

    • their timelines/progress

  • How to verify members know and like what they are doing

  • Onboarding project - introduce tools and workflows

  • Starter project - real project, not necessarily smth on the car but that's helps make it works too

    • ex can be talked abt in an interview a real project that they have worked on

  • ppl need to read more slack messages
